ARTIST STATEMENT
Home is an extension of how we define ourselves. Within this large-scale digital art installation, you will experience the many ways Angelenos define what home is today. Let these words become the many reasons why we champion fair housing and livelihood for all. Let us find commonality and compassion from our perspectives of the home—from the good to the unstable. At Home is an expansion to Lindquist's Pushing Forward initiative project.
DECLARACIÓN
El hogar es una extensión de cómo nos definimos. Dentro de esta instalación de arte digital a gran escala, podrás experimentar las muchas formas en que residentes de Los Angeles definen lo que significa hogar. Estas palabras se conviertan en las muchas razones por las que luchamos por el derecho de una vida y vivienda justa para todos. En estas palabras, se encuentran puntos en encuentro y la compasión desde nuestras perspectivas de lo que significa un hogar, desde lo bueno hasta lo inestable. EXHIBITION REFLECTION
at Home explores the definition of home from constituents in Los Angeles and its surrounding neighborhoods. By collecting words and the stories behind them, Lindquist’s intention is to unify citizens through sharing their diverse perspectives. Words selected will be projected onto the Hall of Records building. New sets will be presented weekly for the month of July. The stories behind selected words will be featured on july.grandparkla.org and showcased on Grand Parks social outlets. At Home is an expansion to Lindquist's Pushing Forward initiative project.
REFLEXIÓN
at Home explora la definición de hogar de personas en Los Angeles y sus vecindarios. Al recopilar palabras y las historias detrás de ellas, la intención de Lindquist es unificar a los ciudadanos compartiendo sus diversas perspectivas. Las palabras seleccionadas se proyectarán en el edificio Hall of Records. Se presentarán nuevas palabras semanalmente durante el mes de julio.
